The Humanitarian organization (HARO) has delivered an aid that consists of cloth and shoes which they have collected from the Somali community living in Seattle – Washington. The aid has reached two major refugee camps that are located in the heart of the Capital city of Somalia (Mogadishu).
The chairman of HARO, Ali Haji Abdinur has said that the aid has being delivered on forty (40) feet container and was distributed evenly among 1,250 families of children, women and men.
“The Thursday, we brought cloth and shoes to the people of Beedle Camp and more than 650 families benefited from that. And similarly, on Sunday, we gave same aid to more than 600 families at Ashariif refugee camp.” Said by the chairman of HARO, Ali Haji Abdinur.
The aid has reached all young and the old, either male or female of the internally displaced people (IDP).
“The people who send this aid saw the harsh condition which the internally displaced people are going through and HARO took the responsibility to deliver this aid” said Ali Haji Abdinur, who came from United States.
HARO has being working hard since 2007 to deliver helpful aid to the IDPs of most of Somali regions such as Bay, Bakool, the two Juba, Gedo, Hiiraan, Galguduud and Banaadir.
The head of HARO has promised to continue their efforts to help people of Somalia and they encouraged the people to also help themselves meanwhile.
