In Somalia, at least 1.5 million people have been internally displaced during drought crisis in the last year, of which more than 70 percent are women and children. When the drought occurred, the famine crisis has led to many other social crises including divorce which worsened the life in the IDP camps. Huge number of widowed or divorced women is now suffering in many parts of Mogadishu, mostly in the IDP camps. These women are straggling with their lives and children, as the female-headed families have been dramatically increased.

After a deeply made survey and investigation in the conditions of these families in Mogadishu, HARO, the Humanitarian African Relief Organization, has listed 11 of the worst families who live in Mogadishu. For this case, HARO as an emergency case agency on behalf of these families is submitting to the humanitarian agencies or good-doing individuals to rescue and support these vulnerable families with a financial aid stated in the below table, which shows the family size, members, and estimated minimum living cost in Mogadishu accordingly. Note: HARO has made the estimation on the bases of the family size, and the overall living conditions in Mogadishu as follows:

$15 per person monthly
