In response to the alerts from Gedo Droughts in this year, HARO has arranged many consequence campaigns of fund rising in many parts of the world especially in North America.

HARO has raised $60,000 for this project to alleviate the victims of drought in Gedo region of Somalia with water and food.

HARO Somalia office has arranged two trips to Gedo to visit the physical areas affected by the drought; in the first phase, HARO team arranged to visit the area for assessment and emergence response and supplied water for more than one thousand people in the most affected areas (nine villages) with the help of local community elders and administration. These villages are below:

In the second phase, HARO Somalia team arranged another journey to reach the victims

with food after shallow rains have fallen on the area.

HARO granted 25kg Rise, 25kg floor, 10kg sugar, and 3liter of cooking oil to each family.
