As the drought gets worse, the HARO team is trying very hard to reach to the places hit hard and the people who are struggling to get any water. Most people need water more than food since every lake and every river has dried out. Our team went to the city of Balad Hawo in the Gedo region to meet with dying families and their dead cattle, goats and camel. The team rented 20 water tank trucks to deliver the water to thousands of people in remote areas outside of Balad Hawo city.
As you can see from the images, the funds were donated by the community of Seattle Washington, especially Abubakar Islamic Center of Seattle. The people were very grateful to the center and how they remembered their brothers and sisters in a time of difficulties. The water were poured in a makeshift tent that were made into small pond as there were no other ways to fully distribute the water to the community.
HARO is dedicated to deliver all types of funds to the people who need it the most, our teams are working day and night to reach the most vulnerable people in the country.
