Youth Employment Initiative

youth

Youth are the backbone of the nation’s future. Over 70% of the Somali population is under 30 years old, proving to be the most imperative and dynamic fragment of the country. HARO has launched this project to ensure that in parts of Somalia where the challenges are most acute, young people can still receive targeted support. The aim is to provide tools necessary for the youth to succeed in the workforce. In a country with a high youth unemployment rate of 24.89%, our main goal is to ensure young people can be successful in the job market.

This project will provide:
- Apprenticeships
- Trainee-ships
- Start-up grants
- Job placements.
